Summer Learning Journey|Here To Stay|Persistent Pollution

1. There are types of air pollution made by human.

2. Smog harms plants, the eye and more.

3. Toxic Pollutants causes health problems and environmental effects.

This week for activity 1, day 5 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell three things we learnt about the air pollution. Before that we watched a video about the air pollution. Then we shared the three things we learnt. This activity was worth 4 points.

  1. Kia ora Sakina,

Georgia here, from the Kaikohekohe (Northland) cluster! You will be seeing me and Dani floating around your cluster today because you guys are so busy. It is awesome to see how much effort and joy you guys are putting into your blog posts, keep this up!

Wow these are some really interesting facts that you’ve come up with! I didn’t know that humans had so much impact on the air, it is really concerning. It makes me think what I can do to reduce my impact I have on the environment. Can you think of any ideas?
I found out that I can reduce my impact by turning off the lights and electronics as much as possible. Here’s the website that I found these facts on https://www.des.nh.gov/organization/divisions/air/tsb/ams/aqmdp/share.htm
Can you think of some other reasons as to why you shouldn’t pollute our beautiful country?

Looking forward to hearing your ideas.

    Blog you later!
    Georgia E

  3. Hi Sakina,
Great job on completing this activity! I find it interesting that there are many different types of pollutants and that toxic pollutants can be harmful. I think that ever since modern technology was made everything's gone down hill, these days we have things like nuclear power plants, huge factories and millions of cars. Do you think we should stop creating pollutants?
