Pay It Forward Challenge

LI: To do a pay it forward challenge for the junior classes. This week for the home learning activities, we did a pay it forward challenge for our junior classes. There were 3 different activities we could choose from, which were, reading a book, creating a fitness video and creating a DLO about Tom Moore. I chose create a video of reading a book. The book that I read is Geronimo Stilton, Secret Agent.

ANZAC Facts

LI: To find 3 interesting facts, explaining why we found it interesting.
This week for another ANZAC activity, I did this task, where we wrote 3 facts we found interesting and why. There were many interesting facts about ANZAC. One of the most interesting facts, was that ANZACs were volunteers. This was very surprising, because I thought that they were chosen, but it was fantastic that they decided to volunteer, and sacrifice themselves for our country.

Morse Code

LI: To learn about how soldiers used morse code.
This week for another ANZAC activity, I decided to create a DLO about a interesting fact about Morse code. For this DLO, we wrote our interesting fact in morse code too. I have learnt some interesting facts about morse code and was really fun to write using morse code. Morse code was a technique where soldiers used it to communicate with each other, using large lights.

The Mothers Of Empire Badge

LI: To research and create a DLO about an ANZAC item.
This week for a home learning activity, and since ANZAC is coming up, we completed 3 different activities about it. One of my first activities I completed was about the Mothers of Empire Badge. For this activity, we chose an item from this site, and researched it. The item I decided to research was the Mothers of Empire Badge. This badge has a great story behind it, which was very interesting to learn about.

Skyline Luge | Home Learning Challenges

 Today name, name and I created another DLO for the home learning challenges, which was about the skyline luge. In this DLO we explained how long it would take to get to there, the safety of helmets, an activity we would like to go on giving an explanation and the costs of the rides.
