Week 4 | Day 5 | Activity 3: Concluding The Journey

This activity was sadly the last activity of the Summer Learning Journey program for 2019-2020. For this last activity, we reflected our experience of SLJ this year. I have really enjoyed the Summer Learning Journey program this year. It has been a really great time completing the activities to gain knowledge. Thank you Summer Learning Journey for providing us with these activities. I hope you have a great holiday!

  1. Well done on posting, continuing to participate and completing the SLJ this year Sakina. What could you do to be a climate changemaker? I'll pass your feedback on - a running tally system on points is a good idea and incentive to achieve and be the best you can be...Keep re-checking your blogging, commenting on others who have left you comments and reply to all those who have commented on your posts to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break! Don't forget to come over and say "Hi" when you see me around PBS in 2020.

  2. Kia ora Sakina,

I want to congratulate you for finishing this years' SLJ programme - well done, this is such an amazing achievement and I'm really proud of you and I am sure Mrs Anderson will be proud of you too.

You mentioned that you enjoyed all of the activities, that is great to hear! Do you think you enjoyed the activities because of the topics that you were given or because of the way you were asked to present the activities/DLOs? I am so glad that you have learnt a few things about indigenous communities and about what our poor neighbours Australia are experiencing at the moment. Though there are both controversial and saddening ideas revolved around these topics and events, I think it is really awesome that you along with many other young children are aware of what is happening in our world and I applaud you for being open to learning about it! The Manaiakalani cluster team and I are in the middle of going through your blog posts and tallying up points at the moment. While we do that don't forget, now that you've finished the programme, you can earn many more bonus points and help encourage other students to finish the SLJ programme by leaving thoughtful comments on other students' SLJ related blog posts!

Congratulations again Sakina, I hope that you're proud of yourself!
