This week for activity 3, day 3 of week 4 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to list 10 animals we would save from extinction and why its important to save them. I would save all the animals if I had a chance. They are all amazing.

1. Maui Dolphins only manufacture a calf every 2 to 4 years.
2. They have a lifespan of 25 years.
3. Females evolve up to 2 meters long.
4. Maui and Hector dolphins look similar to each other.
5. They can see by sound.
6. Maui dolphins have the same fin as normal dolphins.

This week for activity 2, day 3 of week 4 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to post three true facts we learnt about Maui dolphins. We also had to think of three false facts. It is your duty to figure out the facts that are false or true. This activity was worth 4 points, which I enjoyed doing.

This week for activity 1, day 3 of week 4 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to watch three predator free videos. Then we had to tell which one we liked best and why. The most predator free video I liked was Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP), because they don't trap animals they rescue them. They make things that rescue the animals, but they don't do it, they use their inventions.

This week for activity 3, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to create a DLO about a animal from a list. We needed to include three facts, an image or two of the animal. The animal I chose was a flying fox. The flying fox catched my eye, because I didn't know there was flying foxes. I had fun finding facts about flying fox.

This week for activity 2, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell what superpower we would have and why. I would like to have teleportation because if i'm late for something I can just teleport. I can also just teleport if there are any problems, I can steal items then teleport and more. That is why I want teleportation powers.

A back-fronted tern lives in the North and South Island. They eat mayflies, stone flies and small fish. They have a orange beak, a black face and the rest of its body is white. They have little orange legs and they have big wings.

This week for activity 1, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to write a short description of a bird we choose that was bird of the year once. We had to include where it lives, what it eats and a picture of the bird. We had to make sure we included the attribution. The bird I chose was a black-fronted tern.

This week for activity 3, day 3 of week 2 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to solve a math problem. The problem was a average adult can lift 25 kg and the average child can lift 15 kg. How many adults and children will it take to move the giant squid into its new room at Te Papa?. We could use things to solve the problem on. The problem was hard to do.

A average adult can lift 25 kg and the average child can lift 15 kg. The squid is 500 kg. How many adults and children will it take to move the giant squid into its new room at Te Papa?

It takes 14 adults and 10 children to move the giant squid, because 14 x 25 = 350 and 10 x 15 = 150. 350 + 150 = 500.

Ingredients-
1/4 cup of butter
1 8 ounce of box elbow macaroni
ground black pepper
2 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of milk

This week for activity 2, day 3 of week 2 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to share the list of ingredients of one of our favorite foods. One of my favorite foods are macaroni and cheese. This activity was worth 4 points. I had a lot of fun doing this activity.

Summer Learning Journey|First You 'Sea' Me, Now You Don't...|Night Owls

This week for activity 1, day 3 of week 2 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell whether we are a night owl or a early riser. We also had to tell if our family are the same or not. I am a night owl because I stay up either reading or going onto my device. I probably stay up around 11:00 or 11:30. I think that my sisters are also night owls, because they also stay up and wake up late. I think that my parents are early risers because they sleep early and wake up around 6:00.

Summer Learning Journey|WWF/World Wildlife Fund

LI: To learn about the World Wildlife Fund. This week for day 3, activity 3 of week 1 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to find the name of animal that WWF is working to rescue, what WWF is doing to help the animal and what success they had keeping the animal safe. First we watched one of two clips. One was about saving tigers and the other was about "Saimaa Ringed Seals". The WWF was rescuing "Saimaa Ringed Seals". WWF was building snowbanks to help the endangered freshwater seals for them to give birth to pups. If there wasn't any snowbank, them the pups will not have any safety. The pups had to be born in snowbanks. This activity was worth 10 points. This activity was sort of hard and fun at the same time.

Summer Learning Journey|The Secretive Skink|DOC Rangers

LI: To list the pros and cons about DOC Rangers. This week for day 3, activity 2 of week 1 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to list three pros and cons of being a DOC ranger. DOC stand for Department Of Conservation. DOC rangers' job are to keep wild animals safe that are living on islands. I would not like to be a DOC ranger, because I fear wild animals and the animals might hurt me. This activity was worth 10 points. I had a lot of fun writing the pros and cons of being a DOC ranger.

Summer Learning Journey|Awesome Animals

 LI: To describe and post a description of your beast. This week for day 3, activity 1 of week 1, we had to think of our own beast. First we went on a book trailer, then we used our imaginations to create our own beast. Once we had created our beast, we needed to describe it and post a description. I chose to do a wolf's face with unicorn wings and a cats body. This activity was worth 4 points. I had lots of fun describing my beast.

PBS Holiday Reading Program-Bonus Activity Day 3

For the bonus activity of day 3 I had to create a DLO that has the opening times and all the ticket prices on Kelly Tarlton. For the DLO I did a google slide.  To get full points I had to attribute the images. I had to look on the Kelly Tarlton Website to see the ticket prices. I had a lot of fun doing this activity. It took me a while to do this activity.

PBS Holiday Reading Program-Activity 2 Day 3

For activity 2 day 3 I had to pick a creature from Kelly Tarlton. Then I had to make a infographic about their diet, habitat and their appearance. The creature that I picked was stingrays. I picked stingrays because their my favorite creature and I like how stingray flow nicely around the sea/water. I attributed the images so that I could get full points. I didn't know their appearance so I searched it up. I had a lot of fun doing this activity.

For Day activity 1 day 3 I had to go on the Kelly Tarlton website so that I could find out how much it would cost if I went there. I also had to find out how much it would cost my family.
