Owning A Pet | Challenge

This week in maths, to learn more about money, we owned a pet. With our pet, we worked together as a group to find out the costs of the dog, the items dogs need, their food, the vaccinations and the grooming costs. Our dog was a border collie and was named Odis. As a group, we were each given jobs from our leader and helped each other. What my group found challenging, was figuring out the maths of all the costs for our dog and negotiating on the name.

Collaborative Challenge | Budget Of $200

This week for math we were given a challenge to complete together as a group. We were given a budget of $200 to do a weekly grocery shop for our maths group. We used an abundance of money to provide our group with enough healthy food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for one week. The challenging part was trying to decide what dinner was going to be, because most of us thought of different ideas, but at the end we chose which one was the best and cheapest.

Today Marieta, Alex, Joel and I worked together to create a sketchnote on what a team is, our definition of a team is a group of people who work together to achieve a common purpose. In teams all members must respect one another, make sure everyone is included and respect all opinions. Three things that people need to do in teams are: Communicate, collaborate and participate.
