Short Story- I opened the door to take a look and it wasn't very nice. I took a step out and saw all the nature burnt down. Over there near the deadless trees, I saw, a dead body. I was shocked and couldn't say anything. I looked around, there was nothing at all, all except houses. The inside of me was crying. I'd never been that sad, so I took another step, but I could feel the pain in my body. I was telling myself, why did this happen, why did this have to happen to us. I just couldn't anymore, I couldn't be here anymore.
















This week for activity 3, day 5 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to write a short story about what happened when you opened the door and walked out after there was an acid rain storm. To earn full points the story had to be 8 to 10 sentences long.

This week for activity 1, day 5 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell three things we learnt about the air pollution. Before that we watched a video about the air pollution. Then we shared the three things we learnt. This activity was worth 4 points.

Summer Learning Journey|Like a Scene Out of a Movie|Crazy, Cool Clouds

This cloud looks like a tornado. It looks like a blade blade, where you spin is. It also looks like a hat, if you look at it upside down. You can see the swirls of the tornado and the blade blade. You can also see the round part of the hat, the brim and the ribbon.






This week for activity 3, day 4 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to pick a cloud image. Then we had to tell what we see in the image, what shape we see and describing it. The cloud I chose was cloud number 2. I had fun describing the cloud.

This week for activity 2, day 4 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to write a short summary about The Seven Stars Of Matariki. We had to try and make it 6 to 8 sentences long. Before that we had to watch a video of Toni reading the story. Then we moved onto writing the summary.

Summary- This story is about the seven stars of matariki. It was a time, where brothers were sailing. They came past seven ladies who looked very beautiful. The brothers immediately fell in love, but one didn't. The brothers became the ladies husband, so they took them to the their village. The brothers cooked for their wives, and got skinnier. The one brother wanted the wives to be gone. He got some help from his brothers. The one brother captured the wives with nets. The brother then took the wives to heaven. The sisters would only shine on Matariki.

This week for activity 1, day 4 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to use the word lights, so we could write an acrostic poem about the Southern Lights. This activity was worth 4 points. I enjoyed writing an acrostic poem.

This week for activity 3, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to create a DLO about a animal from a list. We needed to include three facts, an image or two of the animal. The animal I chose was a flying fox. The flying fox catched my eye, because I didn't know there was flying foxes. I had fun finding facts about flying fox.

This week for activity 2, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell what superpower we would have and why. I would like to have teleportation because if i'm late for something I can just teleport. I can also just teleport if there are any problems, I can steal items then teleport and more. That is why I want teleportation powers.

A back-fronted tern lives in the North and South Island. They eat mayflies, stone flies and small fish. They have a orange beak, a black face and the rest of its body is white. They have little orange legs and they have big wings.

This week for activity 1, day 3 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to write a short description of a bird we choose that was bird of the year once. We had to include where it lives, what it eats and a picture of the bird. We had to make sure we included the attribution. The bird I chose was a black-fronted tern.

This week for activity 3, day 2 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to solve a tricky maths problem. The problem was if there was 7 different kind of mould and it took 5 days to clean it, how long would it take to remove all the mould. To solve this problem you multiply 7 and 5 which equals 35, so that means it takes 35 days to remove it.

This week for activity 1, day 2 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to fill in blanks for five sentences about bees. We had to write the word, phrase or number in the blank space. I had to search the information on google to find the answer. I enjoyed filling in the blanks.



1. The word 'bumblebee' is a compound word (bumble + bee). The word 'bumble' means to hum, buzz, or drone.

2. Bumblebees can fly very quickly. They can reach ground speeds of 54 kilometres per hour (km/h).

3. Bumblebees are very strong! They carry up to 90 percent of their body weight in food with them to avoid starvation.

4. Bumblebees can do more work and carry more pollen than other bees, including honeybees. In fact, they can do up to 50 times as much work as a normal honeybee.

5. The number of bumblebees is declining in New Zealand due to a number of factors, including the removal of wildflowers and flowering trees, habitat loss, and extensive use of pesticides.

This week for activity 3, day 1 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to make a graph of the hottest temperatures on record in places. The hottest temperatures were in Dallol, Dasht-e Loot, Tirat Zvi, Kabili and Bander-e Mahsharhr. We could make the graph by hand or digitally.

we had to list five different things to do to protect ourselves from the sun. This activity was worth 4 points. I had enjoyed listing five things to protect ourselves.

Summer Learning Journey|A Heating Debate|Togs or Trackies?

This week for activity 1, day 1 of week 3 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to tell what time of year we think is the best for tourists to come and visit NZ. We also had to include three things they can do. The time of year I think that tourists should come and visit should be in January, because it is mostly warm. the three things that they should do is to go to Queenstown, because there are a lot of activities to do like bungee jumping and more. They should go to the skyline in Rotorua, because you can go on the gondola, the lute and more. The last thing they should do is to go to the Wellington zoo to discover new animals and to actually see the animals if they haven't before.
