Basic Facts Boxes|Addition & Subtraction

This week for basic facts boxes I decided to do addition and subtraction. The number range I did was up to 5. For basic facts boxes I did 50 addition equations and 50 subtraction equation. Altogether I did 100 equations. I had fun answering addition and subtraction equations.

Subtraction Video

LI: To complete four tasks over four weeks. This week for maths we moved onto our last creation. I did the subtraction video. For this week we told Mr. Ogilvie what strategy we were going to do, the number range and how many equations we were going to do. The strategies I did was algorithm and numberline. The number range was up to 10,000 and I did 6 equations, because Mr. Ogilvie told me to do more equations and a higher number range. After that I moved onto the slide, then recorded.

LI: To learn our basic facts. This week for "Basic Facts Boxes". I decided to do addition and subtraction. I decided to do my addition and subtraction, up to 20. I answered 50 addition equations and 50 subtraction equations. Altogether I answered 100 equations. I had a lot of fun answering addition and subtraction equations.

This week for basic facts boxes I decided to do addition and subtraction. This time I decided to do up to 20. For basic facts boxes you have to choose either addition and subtraction or the times tables. For addition and subtraction you have to choose up to 5, up to 20 or up to 100. Then you have to complete the addition and subtraction equations. There are 10 boxes with 10 equations. I answered 100 equations all together.

Basic Fact Boxes

This week for Basic Fact Boxes I decided to do addition and subtraction. I decided to do addition and subtraction up to 5. For Basic Fact Boxes you have to choose either addition and subtraction or the times tables. If you do addition and subtraction you can to choose up to 5, up to 10, up to 20 or up to 100. This time I decided to choose up to 5. Once you click on on, you can start answering the equations. I had a lot of fun answering the addition and subtraction equations.

Subtraction Equations & Maths Game

LI: Using the standard written form to solve addition and subtraction problems. LI: Carry out column addition and subtraction with the whole numbers of up to four digits. This week for maths we had to make a screen castify about how to play a maths game that we learnt from Mr. Ogilvie. For our screen castify we had to make a DLO and show how to play the game. For the DLO I decided to do a google draw. Once we did that we had to make a DLO showing how to solve subtraction equation. The DLO that I did was a google draw.  There was 3 subtraction equations that we had to do. One of the equation had decimals. We had to solve the subtraction equations in standard written form. I had a lot of fun solving subtraction equation and learning a new game.

Place Value House

LI:To create a DLO that shows how to solve a subtraction equation using the place value house.hh
This week for maths we had to make a DLO shows a example of solving a subtraction equation using the place value house. We learnt about one for ten and ten for one. First we had to watch a video about someone who shows how to solve subtraction equations. After we watched the video we did some examples with our teacher.  For the DLO I decided to use a google slide. For this task we needed to have a explanation of how to solve a subtraction equation. I decided to add in one for ten and ten for one. The subtraction equation that I did was 236 - 45.

Different Maths Strategies

LI:To learn how to solve subtraction equations using different maths strategies. This week for maths we had to make a DLO that shows different maths strategies to solve equations. I only did 4 math strategies. The math strategies that I did was place value, number line, reverse operation and algorithm. For the DLO I decided to do a google slide. For me I think that the place value is the easiest. The equations that we had to solve was 783 - 395 and 1123 - 846. It took me a while to solve these equations.

Fractions-Addition & Subtraction

LI:To answer fractions on addition and subtraction. For maths this week we had to make a copy of a google doc and write down the answers for the fractions on addition and subtraction. We also had to do the mixed numerals. If the denominator for the fractions on the addition and subtraction had a different denominator we had to times the questions. This was kind of hard to do but I got over it and wrote the answers that I did. I learnt to answer different kind of fractions on addition and subtraction.

Fraction Video

LI:To add and subtract fractions of the same unit size. For maths this week we had to make a video to show you how to solve addition and subtraction fractions. The app that I used to record this was screencastify. I had to keep trying to make the video right. I learnt to add and subtract fractions.

Math Monster Subtraction

For a can do I chose to do maths. For the maths can do I did Math Monster Subtraction. Math Monster Subtraction si game where you get questions on subtractions and each answer you get correct a monster appears. You need all 12 monsters to appear. Once all of the 12 monsters have appeared there will be subtraction questions that you need to work on. Math Monster Subtraction helped me do my subtractions more better. I am getting kind of fast at answering subtraction questions. I had a lot of fun playing Math Monster Subtraction.
