Malala Yousafzai: Malala Yousafzai was born on the 12th of July 1997 in Pakistan, who was an active person in the process of being education, while her dad was a school owner. Malala Yousafzai was only 11, when she protested for girls to have rights for education. One day on the bus to get home, the Taliban attempted to murder Malala Yousafzai, when she was only 15 years old. Malala Yousafzai survived, but had a few operations in the United States. She recieved the Nobel Peace award for fighting for the rights of educations for females. What Malala Yousafzai has done that was special, was that she fought for female rights of education and had survived a head shot.
This week for day 4, activity 1 of week 3 for SLJ, we chose a Noble Prize winner and wrote about them in 5 to 10 sentences. This was based on Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie who were recognised by the world. Florence Nightingale was a trained to be nurse, who was sent to Turkey to look after wounded soldiers. Marie Curie who discovered chemical elements and she was the first to use an x-ray machine. For this activity, I chose Malala Yousafzai to write about.
