Multiplication Poster

LI: To complete four tasks over four weeks. This week for maths we moved onto our third task. I decided to do the poster, which was on multiplication. This week we we had to write our answers in three different languages. I decided to do Spanish, Japanese and English. We had to make three equations, 10 digit, 100 digit and 1000 digit. We could do any technique we wanted to do. I decided to do the lattice method. I had a lot fun creating a poster of multiplication. I learnt how to say numbers in three different languages.

Prior Knowledge Poster

LI: To activate prior knowledge about a topic before reading. This week for reading we had to make a poster about what prior knowledge is. We had to make a google draw. For the prior knowledge poster I tried to find 2 images about prior knowledge. I decided to write what prior knowledge is, how it helps us and  more. I think that prior knowledge is a great reading strategy for everyone. For the images I decided to add 2 photos about prior knowledge. For this poster I just put in what I think what prior knowledge is. This was a easy activity to do.

Winter Olympics 2018

LI: To create a poster about the 2018 Winter Olympics. This week for inquiry we had to make a poster about the Winter Olympics. First we had to get into groups of 4 people. I was with Charlize, Florence Angelica and Jayden. For the poster we had to include the distance from South Korea to New Zealand, the map of where the Winter Olympics is being held in, how many events there will be, the countries that are competing and how long it goes for. We had to make sure our text, our colour, our composition and our layout was good.
