Week 4 | Day 1 | Activity 1: Rags To Riches

This week for day 1, activity 1 of week 4 for SLJ, we designed a book cover for our favourite book. We thought about the title, author, illustrator, picture, colours and more things on a book cover. My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This activity was based on J.K. Rowling. J.K. Rowling is a British author who has wrote a series of books, like Harry Potter.

  1. Awesome book design Sakina - have you read all of the HP books? Which is your favourite? I went to see the Cursed Child play in Melbourne in October - I would highly recommend it!

  2. Malo e lelei Sakina,

What an absolutely amazing replica book cover! I see that you have added a few extra envelopes as well but woweee that is an astonishing book cover that you made by yourself! What do you use to re-create these images/book covers, I find it so fascinating, I would love to be able to do it myself too! What is your favourite Harry Potter book and movie? My favourite movie is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and my favourite book to read was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Are you interested in Art or Computer Technology? I ask this because you are really talented at Art on the computer!

Looking forward to hearing from you! :)

  3. Wow Sakina! This really is an amazing book cover design, and I like how you added your own touch to it. I like how the book you chose is also coincidentally by J.K Rowling, the inspiration for this activity. Would you recommend this book as something others should read as well? Great blog post!
