Volume and Capacity

LI: To find out the capacity and the volume of two items. This week for maths we had to measure two items and find out the capacity and the volume. The items that I picked was a lunch box and a box. If we wanted to we could work in pairs or we could work by our selves. I decided to work with Farzana. We had to make a copy of a google draw that was on the LS1 site. Before measuring the items we had to estimate and find out how many cm3 the items are. We then had to measure the items we chose around LS1. For the items we had to measure the height, the width and the depth. Once we measured the items we had to multiply it. If we didn't know how to multiply the height, width and depth we had to use the technique that Mr. Ogilvie showed us. Once we finished the capacity we moved on to the volume. For the volume we had to find out how many things that are the same could fit into the items we chose.
