This time we read Painted Hoe which was a non fiction text. After we read Painted Hoe, we had to fill out a google form. For the google form we had to ask questions about the text. Once we did that Mr. Wong called out each group and answered our question. After that we started filling out the conflict and resolution DLO.

Maori Session|Parihaka Taranaki
This week for Maori we had Whaea Odie. First she read a story called Remember That November. This story was about a school speech. The children think that Andy will win the speech contest. In Andy's speech it was about Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes was a man who attempted to explode the king's castle using gunpowder. In the speech contest Aroha stands up who wore a white feather on her hair. Aroha tells a story about the village Parihaka. Once we listened to the story we had to go on google maps and find Parihaka. Then we had to mark where Parihaka is on a maps sheet we were given. We had to find the nearest place to Parihaka. The nearest was New Plymouth, so we had to mark Parihaka near New Plymouth.

LI: To identify gimmicks used to attract and persuade people to purchase products. This week for cybersmart we had to finish of the last three slides of the google slide. First we started off with the co co crunch. We had to include the creator of the product, the purpose and what the creators believed about their product and what the customers think. After that we had to write down the construction in school. We had to include the creator of the product, the purpose and some ways to attract the audience. Lastly we had to do the same thing, but instead of construction in school it was construction by yourself. We had to add the same things.

Commenting
This week for commenting I decided to comment on Karlos's blog. The connection that we made was that we both did the reading task. I think Karlos did a fantastic job. I liked the way he explained what he did for reading and how he added a LI:. I also liked the way he added a DLO of what he did and a story that was similar to the story Spark. I just wanted to know if Karlos found it hard to do the reading task. I had fun commenting.

We had 40 minutes to write the recount. Once we wrote the recount we had to go on the writing rubric and we had to give ourselves a score of the punctuation, vocabulary and the sentence structure. After that we had to go on our recount and had to find out the mistakes we did. We had to go on suggestions and write down our mistakes.
