Foodprint Visit | Michal

This week Michal came to visit us to talk about food print ( a social enterprise app). Michal was working on her company for 2 years and has been open for 6 months. She told us how food waste became a problem to the environment, because it could be distributed to others who need food. She also told us how 1.3 billion of food has been wasted every year and how 20 million loaves of bread in NZ has been wasted a year. This can cause methane gas which makes climate change. Michal has been helping NZ's environment, by creating an app called Food Print. Food Print helps provide food to others, a  lower price than the price you would normally get food instead of wasting it. Michal talked about the designing of her app, (the right name, the logos, colours, recognisabality and its catchy). So far Michal has 250 cafes that have joined her with this app. I have learnt a lot about enterprise, different information and food waste.
