Week 2 | Day 1 | Activity 3: ‘Dear Jacinda’
This week for day 1, activity 3 of week 2 for SLJ, we imagined that we wrote a letter to Jacinda Ardern. In the letter we included an issue we have chosen that was important to us and what we would like Jacinda Ardern to do about it. The issue that I have chosen is homeless people in New Zealand. I chose this issue, because there are a lot of homeless people in NZ who don't have the important need ( water, food, shelter and education), and they need these things to live.

Kia Ora Sakina! This was a really good and persuasive letter. I agree that people not being able to even have basic needs like food, water, and shelter is a big issue in New Zealand and I would be very happy to see a change. You're doing great with all the activities and commenting, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHi Sakina!
ReplyDeleteI have read your blog post about the letter to Jacinda. I think that your letter was very detailed and you have a good point to your issue. I think you need to change the outline of the text box as it does not match with the rest of the D.L.O.
Keep up the great work!
Blog you later!

Hi Sakina, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. Why did you pick the issue of homelessness? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep your learning up over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHi Sakina,
ReplyDeleteI like your persuasive letter to Jacinda Ardern about the issue of homeless people. I think that it will be good for charities to help get these people back on their feet. How exactly do you think the government should help them? For example, what should they spend the money on to help the homeless? Keep up the good work.
