Week 2 | Day 2 | Activity 2: School Strike for Climate
This week for day 2, activity 2 of week 2 for SLJ, we wrote three things we have learnt from a site called (School Strike for Climate Australia). This site is about students who strike school to protest for climate change and to make the planet a better place. We browsed through the site and wrote down 3 things we have learnt and one thing we would do at home to help the environment.

Hi Sakina, Mrs Collins again from Manaiakalani commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the narrative you shared about climate change...what do you think we should do? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHey Sakina! Picking up rubbish is a great way to participate in helping clean up the environment and avoid climate change. Encouraging and influencing others to do it too would make a bigger impact as well! I like your first statement about sacrificing their education for a healthier future, because it almost summaries their goal/protest. Would you participate in "School Strike 4 Climate"? Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHi Sakina,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you said that students in Australia are sacrificing their education in order to bring climate change awareness. I also liked how you said that you could help the environment by picking all rubbish up, even if it isn't yours. Would you want to go on strike?
