Week 3 | Day 3 | Activity 3: Need For Speed

This week for day 3, activity 3 for week 3 of SLJ, we drew our own fast vehicle. This activity was based on Bill Hamilton and John Britten who have created things that have changed the world. They were both inventors. One of Bill Hamilton's inventions was a tow rope that pulled skiers up a ski field. John Britten was someone who loved rebuilding vehicles. For this activity we drew fast vehicles with a description of how it works. I have decided to draw a motorbike with special features.

  1. Great motorbike Sakina - does it come in a range of colours? I really like the aqua feature - very cool! Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Hello Sakina! I really love your motorbike design, and reading about what it is/can do. The sparkles really do add a special touch, could that be another one of the features? And that's really useful to be able to drive in water, but would that mean there is water-safe gear for the driver too? Your drawing is super cool, nice work!

  3. Kia ora Sakina! How are you doing? Olive here from the Summer Learning Journey.

Thank you for your blog post! I really enjoyed your motorbike design! You're super creative and I really appreciate how hard you've been working! If I had a super-speedy vehicle, it would probably be a more modernised version of a Vespa Scooter. I love classical old bikes! My bike would be bright sunflower yellow and it’s special feature would be to ride my bike underwater! A waterproof bike would be excellent when riding in the rain, or when travelling in the ocean!

What’s your favourite type of motorbike?

Remember the end of the Summer Learning Journey is next Friday 24th January! Keep up the blogging, commenting and enthusiasm!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  5. Hi Sakina,
I like the drawing that you have created on your bike. I think that it looks amazing. I can tell that you have put a lot of time and effort into making it look like a proper motorbike! What would you call your bike? Keep up the good work.
