Summer Learning Journey|Taking Action|Predator Free - A Call to Arms
This week for activity 1, day 3 of week 4 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to watch three predator free videos. Then we had to tell which one we liked best and why. The most predator free video I liked was Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP), because they don't trap animals they rescue them. They make things that rescue the animals, but they don't do it, they use their inventions.

Kia ora Sakina,
ReplyDeleteGeorgia here, from the Kaikohekohe (Northland) cluster! You will be seeing me and Dani floating around your cluster today because you guys are so busy. It is awesome to see how much effort and joy you guys are putting into your blog posts, keep this up!
I enjoyed this project as well, especially since it’s close to home. I didn’t know that the number of our native species are rapidly declining, with 70,000 birds, chicks (baby birds) and eggs being eaten every single night. You are right, ZIP are trying to find technology to help rescue these native animals and get rid of pests. Do you know of any other ways you could help these animals?
Looking forward to reading more of your blog posts.
ngā mihi,
Georgia E

ReplyDeleteHi Sakina,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity! I liked how you said that you liked the Zero Invasive Predators program because they don't trap predators, they just rescue the endangered species. I find it interesting that they have inventions that can do things like that. If you could join those people to help save animals, would you?
