Summer Learning Journey|Spectacular, Spectacular|It's All In The Name

Green Ooz*
Slimy Juice
Limey Ooz

This week for activity 2, day 4 of week 2 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to list three to five choices for the name of the geothermal pool. I had a lot of fun listing three to five options for the name of the geothermal pool.

  1. Hello Sakina! It's amazing seeing you get back on track with Summer Learning Journey, I am excited to see more posts from you. I enjoyed reading your creatives names for the Geothermal pool and liked the idea for Limey Ooz the most. Would you swim in the pool if it was safe? Keep it up!

  2. Hello again,

You've come up with some great alternative names for Devil's Bath, Sakina. If I hadn't seen a photo, and just heard those names, I'd easily be able to picture the pool in my mind.

Have you been to Rotorua before? Or any other geothermal pools around the country? Up north (where I'm from) there's a place called Ngawha Springs which is famous for its geothermal hot pools. They're not quite the same colour as this one but they are lovely and warm. It's a great place to go and relax when the temperature starts to get a bit cooler.

Well done on completing another activity Sakina. He whetu koe! (You're a star!) :)

    Bye for now,

    Mikey :)

  3. Hi Sakina,
Great job on completing this activity! I liked how you thought of names like slimy juice, green ooz and limey ooz for the devil's bath in New Zealand. If you could jump into the big green pool, would you want to?
