It's very bad in Beijing
I wish to be leaving
Oh the pollution makes me sick
This has to end quick
I don't want to die
I have to go somewhere nearby
This week for activity 3, day 1 of week 4 of Summer Learning Journey, we had to write a poem that describes our feeling about travelling to Chine, Beijing. This activity was worth 10 points. I had enjoyed write a poem about my feelings.
Mōrena Sakina,
ReplyDeleteGeorgia here, from the Kaikohekohe (Northland) cluster! You will be seeing me and Dani floating around your cluster today, because you guys are so busy. It is awesome to see how much effort and joy you guys are putting into your blog posts, keep this up!
Congratulations on making a poem that has rhythm, I can read this aloud with a beat! You not only created a poem with pattern and flow, you created a poem that reflects Shanghai’s pollution issues with a strong voice. I really like how you ended it with ‘I don’t want to die, I have to go somewhere nearby’, it draws the reader in and leaves them wanting more.
Do you have any ideas on how to reduce the polluted air in Shanghai?
Keep up the awesome work.
ngā mihi,
Georgia E
Hi Sakina,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity! I liked how in your poem you said you wished to leave and felt sick from the pollution. I find it interesting that there's so much smog and pollution in the air, because that wouldn't have happened in a day, so why didn't they try to stop what was happening earlier. If you could fly over to Beijing and live there for a month, would you want to?
