Trebuchet History
LI: To learn about how to overcome earthwork fortifications using technology. This week for inquiry we had to make a google slide about information about a technology people used in war. First we got into our groups from last week. In my group I had Farzana, Victoria and Nicole.
Once we got into our groups from last week we played the board game, but with our rampart that we created. We followed the same rules. The invaders could come into the rampart. There was a small cut for the invaders to pass through the rampart. We only played one round of the board game. For the board game Victoria and Nicole was the invaders and Farzana and I was the defenders. For the board game Victoria and Nicole won as the invaders because Farzana and I as the defenders had bad tactics/strategies.
Once we played the board game we chose a technology for the invaders. Our technology that we chose was a trebuchet. Once we chose our technology we had to tell the teacher keywords, so that we could search it up on google to find our information about trebuchet. Once we did that we made a google slide and wrote down information about trebuchet. We had to do this, so that we could create a trebuchet for the board game. Once we finished the google slide we had to present it to the class. For the presentation I think that my group and I could've improved by speaking louder.
After we presented our presentation we played the board game called Village Invaders. The invaders got two trebuchets to use. Two invaders had to be on a trebuchet. They could attack the defenders from the rampart. At the end the invaders won because they had two trebuchets.
