This week for kiwi sport we had swimming. Kelly's group and James group teamed up. First we got life jackets and wore it. Then we stood up on the bench. We had to hold our life jack with one hand tightly and hold our nose. We had to do that, because if we didn't you would drown. We all jumped in the water one at a time. Once we did that we made a circle. We made a circle by floating on our back and holding onto a person's life jacket. You had to hold the person in front of you.
After that we made the same circle but there was two people in the middle of the circle which was Kaitlyn and I. We did that because if there is people injured you have to put them in the middle and take care of them. In the sea if you are lonely and not with your group the shark will think that you are a seal, so they will eat you, but if you are with your group and you are in a circle the shark will leave you alone.
Once we did that we swam to the platform on our stomach. After we did that same thing, but swam on our backs. Then we told the teacher if swimming back was better or swimming front. Swimming on our backs are better because it is easier and swimming on our fronts is harder. After we did that we floated on our backs, put our hand up and said help three times. After we did that we got out of the pools, got changed and went back to class.
