Week 4 | Day 3 | Activity 1: Talk Show Host

This week for day 3, activity 1 of week 4 for SLJ, we were asked to write about our future plans and interests. My future/dream job is to become an orthodontist. This task was based on Oprah Winfrey who who is a television legend. Her show was called The Oprah Winfrey Show. In South Africa, she started a school called The Oprah Winfrey Leadership School For Girls. Oprah Winfrey wants to provide kids with the chance to follow their interests/passion.

  1. Great aspiration Sakina - I have a real fear/phobia of dentists personally but it's nothing personal! Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  3. Kia ora Sakina,

Becoming an orthodontist is such a cool idea!

What made you think of becoming an orthodontist? Do you like going to the dentist? It's interesting because I actually really don't mind going to the dentist. I don't know why but it doesn't seem to be a big phobia of mine. How about you? What are your phobias?

  4. Hi Sakina - I really enjoyed reading your futures plans, and dream of being an orthodontist! It sounds like a great job, and I'm sure you know the directions you'll be taking to get there. What inspired you to be an orthodontist? I want to travel in my future, because it's the only way I'd be able to REALLY see the world. If I won't be able to travel, I'd like to be a manager or something like that. Do you have any back up plans JUST in case your first one doesn't work out? Good job!

  5. Hi Sakina!
This activity you did was great. I liked the big story of why you would become and orthodontist. If you weren't doing orthodontist things what would you do?
