Week 4 | Day 2 | Activity 3: Girl Power
This week for day 2, activity 3 of week 4 for SLJ, we were asked to chose a role model and talk about them with an explanation about why they are role models. For this activity I chose Emma Watson as a role model. This task was based on Jessica Mauboy and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. Jessica Mauboy is an Australian Aboriginal singer, who is a role model for being successful in her singing career. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is an opera singer from New Zealand who has one of the best sopranos around the world who is also a role model.

Emma WAtson once said...“Young girls are told you have to be the delicate princess. Hermione taught them that you can be the warrior.” As a HUGE Harry Potter fan I love this girl power quote. Keep blogging Sakina and commenting on others to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteTalofa lava Sakina,
ReplyDeleteI think Emma Watson is a great role model! She inspires me as well, especially how she stands up for gender equality. Would you ever be a spokes woman for gender equality? And if so, what would your message be? :)

Malo e Lelei Sakina! Emma Watson is a beautiful, aspiring role model! - She is someone I wrote about in one of these activities as well. I think her speech for the campaign was very powerful, and she has proved a lot in her career. She has also shared some lovely quotes..."It's not the absence of fear. It's overcoming it." What do you think this means to you? Great poster!
