This week I decided to comment on Angela's blog for the Summer Learning Journey holiday program. Angela is close to completing week 1 of SLJ. I have made 5 comments on Angela.
Here is the link: Angela's blog I have a total of 145 comments!
Hi Sakina! It's Naomi here from The University of Auckland. I was very interested and inspired by your commenting on other's blogs. I have always appreciated the use of blogs to engage in conversation with others. Although class blogs are generally used to share learning, as you know, they can also be a platform for discussion to compare perspectives and for the deepening of understanding through conversation. I have noticed that even though I comment quite a lot on other's blogs that it is a bit of a challenge to get a learning conversation going. I know that you have been a champion of blogs for a number of years now and that you are a leader in your school. Do you have any views on why it seems to be more challenging to get discussion going on a blog by students? Keep up your great work!
