Maori Session|Parihaka Taranaki
This week for Maori we had Whaea Odie. First she read a story called Remember That November. This story was about a school speech. The children think that Andy will win the speech contest. In Andy's speech it was about Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes was a man who attempted to explode the king's castle using gunpowder. In the speech contest Aroha stands up who wore a white feather on her hair. Aroha tells a story about the village Parihaka. Once we listened to the story we had to go on google maps and find Parihaka. Then we had to mark where Parihaka is on a maps sheet we were given. We had to find the nearest place to Parihaka. The nearest was New Plymouth, so we had to mark Parihaka near New Plymouth.
