This week for Maori we had Whaea Odie. First we went on a google doc and tried to match the Maori places with its meanings. On one side there was the Maori places. Next to it was the meanings. The meanings were wrong, so we searched the place names on the Maori dictionary. Altogether we had to match twenty place names with its meaning. Whaea Odie called us up to test us with our Maori. She asked questions like who are you and where are you from. She said the questions in Maori. We were give a piece of paper that had a drawing of a fruit. I had the tomatoe. With the fruit Whaea Odie said give me the tomatoe or the other fruits. She also said that in Maori. When Whaea Odie said give me the fruit, we had to say here in Maori. Once we got tested, we all checked on the Maori place names. We didn't know all of the maori place names and their meanings.
