Sandra decided to do movement, Sulia decided to do reproduce, Lorenzo decided to do grow, Alice decided to do excrete, Akuhata decided to do respiration and I decided to do sensitivity. Sandra, Alice, Lorenzo and I did nutrition. Once we learnt about dolphins we had to make a DLO to put our information in. My group and I decided to make a google slide. We had to put in pictures for our video. We decided to to make a google doc to do our script. We copy and pasted the information from the google slide. We only left the pictures on the google slide because we were going to record the google slide and we were also going to record our faces. On Friday Tomorrow we are going to see every groups video and the teachers are going to give us feedback.

This week for kiwi can we had Mr. Matt and Ms. Lily. Our topic was still accountability and our theme was still integrity. We were also learning about consequences. First we did a energiser called Snatch that cone. We had to get into four lines and face the person that was in the other line. There was a cone between each of us. When Ms. Lily said cat we had to snatch the cone before our partner did. I was with Angelica. If one of us won we had to find another partner. Sandra won for this game. After we did the energiser we made a circle and talked about consequences. After we did our activity which was hand ball. Ms. Lily put us into two equal groups. One group had to go on one side and the other group had to go on the other side. We had to number ourselves from one to eleven. Whenever Ms. Lily said a number like eight we had to touch the cone and use one hand to hit the ball into the goal. I had a lot of fun playing this game. My group lost and the other group won by 8 to 6. Once we did that we did our catch phrase and went back to class.

I tried to make the two diamond by watching someone doing a tutorial about it and I still didn't manage to get it. Here is the link- Two Diamond Tutorial

This week we had rippa rugby in the hall and we had Mr. Haymish. First we had to wear belts. We had to get in a line of boys and girls, so Mr. Haymish could number us one, two, three or four. I was in team four. In my group I had Victoria, Alice, Matthew, Acien and Giovanni. Two groups had to go on the stage and watch while the other two teams had to play. We played normal rippa rugby. One team had to wear blue tags and the other had to wear green belts. For rippa rugby we could only pass the ball backwards. If someone has the ball and the other teammates rip a tag the person with the ball had to pass it to someone else in their team. We had to get the ball to the other side. For the first round team one and team two played, for the second round team four and team three played, for the third round team one and team three played, for the fourth round team four and team two played ,for the fifth round team three and team two played and for the last round team one and team four played. We had winners for rippa rugby. The winners was team one and my team which was team four. Every time one round was finished we switched, so we could all have a turn.

18 Sentence Narrative & AudioBook
LI: To brainstorm a narrative./ LI: To write a 18 sentence narrative. This week for writing we had to write a 18 sentence narrative and make a audio book of us saying the narrative we wrote. Before we did that we had to brainstorm the narrative by going on a google form and we had to answer these questions. Once we did that Mr. Wong chose the problems and other things. For the narrative we had to vote what the story is going to be about. There was three choices which was a dog who got lost, a woman who was looking through a tree or bush and a person who was sitting on a seat and there was waves behind him. There was lots of votes for the dog who got lost, so we did that. After we brainstormed we had to make a copy of a google doc and we had to write down the problem, the three events and the solution. We did the orientation as a class. For each paragraph we had to have three sentences. We also had to use TEE which stands for topic sentence, explained in order and ending sentence. Once we wrote the 18 sentence narrative we had to make a audio book. We went on a website where we could record ourselves. Here is the link- Online voice recorder (beta)

For Shark Attack there was two sharks. The sharks had to hold a pool noodle and try to hit the fish which was the rest o us with the pool noodle. There was four hoops. When Mr. Matt said Shark attack we had to go in a hoop, so the sharks can't hit us with the pool noodle. Our feet had to be in the hoops. Every time Ms. Lily or Mr. Matt would take one hoop out. Once we played this game we sat down and talked about accountability, responsibility and ownership. When we finished doing that we played hand soccer. For hand soccer the girls had to go on one side and the boys had to go on the other side. We had to number ourselves up to fourteen. There was two cones on each side and there was a ball in the middle. If Ms. Lily said a number like five the person who got numbered five had to run, touch the cone and try to get the ball into the two cones. We could only use one hand and we couldn't kick the ball. Once we played this we played GKQ/ General Knowledge Questions. We had to get in five lines and Mr. Matt or Ms. Lily had to say a question. Then we had to answer it and get it right. For our buzzer we had to touch the ground, touch our head and say our name. Once we finished we said goodbye to Mr. Matt and Ms. Lily and went back home.

Inferring Detective
LI: To infer information from a text. This week for reading we had to make a copy of a google doc and infer texts. First we got into our groups and we had to get two white boards and markers. Once we finished doing that we made a copy of the google doc and had to infer three texts and write the evidence. For each text I either had four infers. Inferring is when you read between the lines and you use the author's clues to give the evidence. You use your prior knowledge.

First we learnt how to do the Japanese and Lattice method. We had to choose two multiplication equation, so that we could solve it using the Japanese and Lattice method. Then we had to make the DLO. The DLO that I chose to do was a google slide. To show how to do the Japanese and Lattice method we could screencastify, but I just wrote it. This was kind of hard because we had to act and move fast. After this game we sat in a circle and did GKQ/ General Knowledge Questions. This time I was the master and had to go around until someone answers the question first. We did our class chant and went back to class.

We sang the Matariki song with Whai Odie a few times then Whai Odie handed out Maori word searches. I had to look at each row to circle the Maori words. I managed to find all of them. We are going to sing songs about Matariki, have a sausage sizzle and share together at assembly. Today I had a lot of fun doing the Maori word search and learning the Matariki song. The Matariki song goes like Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi, Tupuanuku, Tupuarangi, Ururangi e, Koinei nga tamariki o Matariki, Nga whetu e piatata i te rangi (x2).

The two teams that was playing had to wear tow tags. This time we could pass forward, backwards and sideways, but if two tags are ripped the person with the ball had to pass the ball backwards or sideways. Once we played a few rounds of Rippa rugby there was two lines of cones. One person from each group had to go to the other side to stand the opposite side of their group. All the groups had to have one ball each. The person with the ball had to have two tags on. The person with the ball had to run and try and trick the person that was standing opposite, by doing the sideways trick. Everyone from each team had a turn. Once we practised doing that we had to do it again, but this time we had to trick the person opposite by taking a step forward and spinning to the other side. The person opposite had to try and take the tag off the person with the ball. After that we had to pick a partner. I decided to choose Ellenora. We had to choose one person to go to the opposite side. Mr. Haymish numbered us. If Mr. Haymish said one the two people who got numbered one had to run and one person had to get the ball from Mr. Haymish, but the other person had to rip their partner's tag off. The person with the ball had to try and get the ball to the white line. We played a few rounds of this game. After that Mr. Haymish told 3 pairs to go in the middle and play. We all had turns being the defender and the attacker.
