Summer Learning Journey| Sir Edmund Hilary| Five Questions

LI: To ask Sir Edmund Hilary 5 questions. This week for day 4, activity 1 of week one of Summer Learning Journey, we had to ask 5 questions to Sir Edmund Hilary. We had to pretend that we were interviewing him. This activity was worth 4 points. I had fun asking Sir Edmund Hilary 5 questions.

Questions:
1. Before you climbed Mount Everest, did you think that you would get to the top?

2. Did your family want you to climb Mount Everest?

3. Why was climbing Mount Everest your achievement?

4. Did you regret climbing Mount Everest, when you were climbing?

5. Did you have fun experiencing, climbing Mount Everest with Tenzing Norgay?

  1. Hi Sakina!
I have read your blogpost about your 5 questions to ask Sir Edmund Hillary. I think your questions are great. I think if you were to ask Sir Edmund Hillary those questions, he would reply with a wild answer.
Keep the great work up! - Florence

  2. Hey there Sakina, it's Billy here. I am back to comment on another one of your activities. I am glad to see you have been working so hard over your summer break! I love that you have also been commenting on other children's blogs and supporting them with their learning. Well done, we all really appreciate your efforts.

Thank you for crafting and sharing five different questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary during an interview. I really like question two which focuses on his family and their thoughts on his adventure. I think they would have been very worried about what he set out to accomplish, especially because no one had climbed the mountain so far.

Do you think he would have climbed smaller mountains leading up to Everest?

Would you ever want to climb a mountain?

    Thanks, Billy.

  3. Hello Sakina! Well done, your questions sound great. I like that you included his partner in one of the questions. I loved your ideas for number 3, 4, and 1 very much. He was a very fascinating person, but we weren't able to get much of this information before he passed. What do you think Sir Ed would be do now if he was still alive? Keep it up!
