Dear Mum & Dad

This year at school I've been very responsible because I've been helping some of my classmates who are struggling in maths and also in writing.In math I am able to work out addition, subtraction, muliplication problems and more.For writing I am able to use puntuation marks like commas,full stops,speech marks,question marks,exlamation marks and appostrphe marks.In reading my teacher is happy that I can figure a word out by re-reading the sentence or by trying to find a clue.

At home I have helped clean up,wipe the dishes,do the laundry,help prepare meals and take out the trash.I also helped mum learn how to read and write things on dad's working book.

So therefor I think you should consider buying me one christmas gift from my christmas list

• Clothes
• Decorations for my bed
• Glasses

I  want to thank you both for  treating me kindly and I want to stay with your all forever.I love you both a lot.

Scavenger Hunt Challenge

Yesterday morning Rm 5 had a scavenger hunt challenge.We had to get into groups of 5.We had the scavenger hunt at school.We did this challenge because we had to learn how to work collaboratively.The people that was in my team was Giovanni,Claudia,Pua and Viliami.We had 45 mins to do all the activities.We had a sheet that had all the activities on.

The first activity we did was making a daisy chain by the park.We had to try again and again because it was hard to make,but Jane helped us make it.Next we had to measure the width of the netball court.We had to use our bodys to make it.We worked together as a team to see how long the width was.When we got to the end of the court we had 11m.After that 1 person had to do the cartwheel.I managed to do the carwheel at the netball court.I had to do the cartwheel because my teamates couldn´t do it.Giovanni had to take the photo because Claudia,Viliami and Pua couldn´t do it proply.Then we had to find a Oblong shape on one of the school buildings.We found a Oblong at LS1.Afterwards we had to make a letter or a number.We chooses the letter L.We did it at the court.We only needed 3 people to make it.Finally we had to take a group selfie.We did it at the colourful wall.Once we finished taking a photo we had to run around the netball court 2 times.Jane was seeing if anyone was cheating.

We then had 5 mins to go back to class.There was 3 groups at class.1 more group had to come.I felt worn out because we had to do a lot of activities.

This week we did a scavenger hunt challenge.We had to learn how to work Collabritivily.

I wrote this maths problem with,Victoria and Charmaine

      Charmaine,Victoria,Sakina went to the zoo.They saw 7 giraffes,10 lions,24 spider monkeys and 9     elephants. How many animals did they see altogether?

I will use the UPS strategy to work it out.

S:I will solve this problem by using place value. 7+10+24+9=50 7+9=16 10+24=34 34+16=50

My Balloon Adventure

Up,up,up I went high into the blue sky.Balloons were carrying me like a hot air balloon.I could see  all of N.Z and feel like an excited puppy.If I could choose a place to go I would choose Australia.I would go at 3:30 pm at Saturday because I don’t need to go school.I would meet my cousins because we could go shopping and travel to places like Sydney.I could prank random people when it’s April Fools Day. I would swim,sleep early,play with my cousins,draw and watch tv as long as I want.I would do all these things because I’ve always dreamt about doing all those things in Australia and sometimes I wish my dreams would come true.
