Myths,Fairy Tale & Legends

This week for reading we had to make a copy of a google slide and a google draw. First we got into groups of pairs. I was with Charlize and Afatia. After that we had to make a copy of a google slide and google draw. For the google slide we had to put in reading strategies, before reading, during reading and after reading. We also had to write why we put the reading strategies in one of the text box. The reading strategies before reading are predicting and activating prior knowledge, the strategies during reading are questioning, making connections, self monitoring, visualising and inferring. Lastly after reading is summarising. For the google draw we had to write down the differences and the similarities of myths, legends and fairytales. We went one two sites to help us find information about myths, legends and fairy tales. The differences between myths, legends and fairy tales are that myths are stories that are traditional and they try to explain mysteries and things that happened in the past, legends are historical information that is told or retold and has happened centuries ago. Some times legends can be true or made up. Lastly fairy tales are made up stories that have fantastic elements and creatures. Fairy tales teach people lessons.
