This story is about a boy who goes to his grandmother's house who sees the ocean for the first time. The boy had to go on a train. Grandmother had to pick the boy up so that they could go home. The boy picked the bedroom he wanted . He pick the yellow bedroom because it had a window facing the ocean. The boy ran down stairs to go to the beach but then his grandmother said that he couldn't go to the beach by himself. Grandmother also said that the boy needed to learn rules about the beach. The boy and is grandmother went to the beach together. The boy could only walk along the beach between 2 rock jetties. Grandmother said to not go into the beach unless Jim or she was there. The next day the boy went to the beach and sat down on the sand. He saw brownish gray round things covered by the sand. When it was breakfast the boy told his grandmother what the gray round things were. His grandmother said that it was horseshoe crabs. When it was breakfast the boy and his grandmother went to the beach. His grandmother turned one of the horseshoes around. Grandmother gave the boy a job to do. He had to save as many horseshoe crabs as he could and turn and toss them back to the ocean. One morning all the horseshoe crabs were gone.
