Summer Learning Journey-Wellington

If I were to see Wellington I would go to the beach to swim in the clean ocean. After that I could go shopping at K mart,so I can buy a big 1 dollar candle for myself and some clothes. Then I could eat dinner at Chick Fil-A because I´ve always wanted to eat at Chick Fil-A.

  1. Hi Sakina,

What a great day you have planned for yourself! I love the idea of going swimming in the ocean, shopping and having a special meal. I must admit that I've never heard of Chick Fil-A before. Is it a take away restaurant or do you go and sit down at a table to eat your meal? I would love to know more about it!

When I am in Wellington I usually go to Cuba Street and try to find a small cafe that looks interesting for breakfast. I love the small, artsy cafes that dot the streets of the capital city! I will definitely look out for the Chick Fil-A the next time I am in Welly.

Hope to see you back online soon!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

  2. Kia ora Sakina,

I really like the sound of your day in Wellington! I have to admit, I'm quite partial to Wellington. My brother lives there, so I try to visit whenever I can.

Some of the beaches in Wellington are quite rough and stormy, due to the high winds they often get there. So I hope that you get some nice weather for you :-) One time when I was in Wellington, we went out to a place called Red Rocks, and although you couldn't swim there because of the rocks, there were hundreds of seals basking in the sun! They were a wee bit smelly, but it was awesome to see them in the wild.

I did a bit of research about Chick Fil A, because like Rachel I hadn't heard about them too much either. Unfortunately you may be waiting a while for a meal there, because they haven't come to New Zealand yet! I have to agree with Rachel, I always go looking for a curious little cafe somewhere on Cuba Street where I like to sit and watch the world go by. You see some very interesting characters there!

Keep up the great blogging Sakina, they're a lot of fun to read :-)

    Cheers,
    Dan.
