Tamaki River

Emily and I arrived at the Tamaki River full of excitment. It was a bright sunny afternoon and the water was calm. There were birds tweeting for food.Fishermen on their boats were going to catch fish for the family.I felt the cool breeze brushing my face.

Emily was looking at a butterfly when she fell into the river.Splash! “Oh no! I knew Emily wasn’t a good swimmer.I quickly ran to find some empty milk bottles.I threw the milk bottles to her and told her to kick her legs. She finally made it out of the river.

While we were walking back home I told her to go and get swimming lessons so that she knows how to save herself if it happens again.

Today I was learning how to write a narrative that did more showing then telling. It was quite hard .
