Keyboarding Drills
LI:To learn touch type. This week for a daily 6 I did keyboarding drills level 3 because I want to get better at typing faster. Whenever I do keyboarding drills it kind of helps me not to look at the keyboards and it also helps me type faster so I can finish off my work more quicker. I might do keyboarding drills once a week so I don't look at the keyboarding while typing. I learnt to get better at not look at the keyboards while I am typing things down.

Canoe Puppies
For a other must do I decided to do Canoe Puppies because I wanted to practise my addition. For Canoe Puppies there is addition questions that you have to answer. You have to race other people. If you want to win you have to try and find the correct answer to the addition question. The addition questions is 2 digit numbers. I had a lot of fun playing Canoe Puppies because you can practise your 2 digit addition and you can race other people. The link- Canoe Puppies

Government Services
LI: To look at more than one information source when researching./LI: To record facts in your own words. This week for Inquiry we did Government Services. First we had to get into groups of 6. I was with Victoria, Nyjah, Florence, Alex and Karlos. Then we had to pick a partner from our group. I was working with Victoria. Once we chose our partners we had to chose a government service. The government services was Politicians, Councils, Mayors, Libraries, Ministry for Primary Industries or Welfare. We had to make sure we chose 2 government services. We decided to do Libraries and Mayors. Victoria made a copy of a google slide that was on our class site. The things that we had to write down on our google slide was the topic, the teacher's fact, a fact from the website but in your own words, key words, questions, a attributed image, facts from a book and we had to answer questions.

Free Rice
For a writing can do I decided to do Free Rice again because I wanted to donate free grains of rice to people who are really hungry. Free Rice helps me donate grains of rice and it helps me practise learning. Free Rice is when you answer questions about english . If you get 1 question correct you donate 10 grains of rice and if you get 5 questions correct you donate 50 grains of rice. I donated 150 grains of rice, so that people who are really hungry can eat. If you don't know if you got a question correct or incorrect it will show up at the top. I had a lot of fun practising my learning and I also had a lot of fun donating rice to people who are hungry. Kiwi Can
This week we had kiwi can with Ms. Latoya and Mr. Malu. Our topic or theme was still on Respect and Empathy. First we had to tell Ms. Latoya what empathy means. Empathy means when you put yourself into another person's place. Ms. Latoya had to put us into 4 groups. In my group I had Victoria, Karlos, Akuhata, Hosea and Andrew. The first game that we played was greeting. For greetings Ms. Latoya had to tell us a greeting. Then she showed us the action of the greeting. We had to get into partners and when Ms. Latoya said a greeting to us we had to do the action together. Ms. Latoya told us to swap partners and we did. A partner that did it to slowly had to sit down. Once we finished playing greetings we had to get back into our groups and we had to play props. Props is when you change a object into something else. The first object that we had to change was a bean bag. Every group had a turn of turning the object into something else. My group turned the bean bag into a phone. We didn't turn 1 object into something else, we changed other objects too. When we finished playing Props we went outside to play buddy up buddy down. For buddy down and buddy up we had to be in 2 circles. 1 big circle and 1 small circle. The small circle had to be in the middle of the big circle. We also had to be in partners. I was with Victoria. Your partner had to be in the big circle and you had to be in the small circle. When Ms. Latoya said buddy up we had to swap circles, when she said buddy down we had to sit down, if she said buddy left the person who was in the big circle had to run around the circle from the left and if Ms. Latoya said buddy right the person that was in the big circle had to run from the right. The last pair to do buddy up, buddy down, buddy left or buddy right had to sit down near a tree. We couldn't finish the whole game because the bell rang. We had to line up outside and we went back to class.
Kiwi Sport
This week we had Badminton in the hall with Kevin. The first thing we did was Octopus. For Octopus their was 2 taggers. The taggers was Matthew and Raera. The taggers had to be in the middle and we had to be lining up near the chairs. Matthew had to say Octopus or something else like people who are wearing shoes or jumpers. If we got tagged we had to be in a t and we had to try and tag other people. We couldn't run or walk when we got tagged. I didn't get tagged from Matthew and Raera. If 2 of us didn't get tagged and we were the only ones left we had to be the taggers. Karlos and I had to be the taggers this time because we didn't get tagged. We tried to tag everyone, but we didn't. When we finished this round we played 1 more round. For the last round Victoria and Yesha was the taggers. I was trying to not get tagged, but I got tagged from Victoria. Once we played Octopus we did the forehand serve. We had to get into partners and we had to get a racket each and 1 shuttle between the both of us. When we got up to 5 we had to swap. When we finished doing the forehand serve we did the forehand lift. For the forehand lift we had our racket foot had to be in front of the shuttle foot and we had to be in the forehand grip. We had to get into partners again and 1 of us had to throw the shuttle to the other person that was doing the forehand lift. When we got up to 5 we swapped. After we did the forehand lift we played singles, ins and outs. For singles, ins and outs Kevin took out the Badminton nets. 2 people had to verse each other with a shuttle and their racket. The other students had to line up. 8 or 7 people had to line up, so that they would verse the person that lost. If we wanted to win we had to try and get 1 point. If you got 1 point the other person had to go at the back of the line then the person that was in front of the line had to verse the person that won. When we finished play singles, ins and outs we recapped on what we did. After we lined up outside and we went back to class.

Weather-Flood Waters Recede
This week for reading we had to make pick a choice- National, International, Sports, Business, Entertainment or Weather. Then we had to tell our group what we wanted to do. I decided to do weather because I kind of know some things about weather. After we had to make a DLO that has news about something that happens. The news had to be about the choice that you picked. The news that I did was about Flood Waters Recede. I chose to add photos of a newspaper, the flood that happened at the Central Otago town of Roxburgh and a breaking news image. I found the Flood Waters Recede on NZ Herald. NZ Herald helped me find things about the Weather. I had a lot of fun finding news about the Weather and writing it in my own words.

Athletics Day
Today Panmure Bridge School had Athletics Day. Athletics day is when we try different kind of games or skills. Whenever it is Athletics day we can wear mufti. Mufti is when you can any clothes. Each year group had to do some skills and games. We couldn't get to play all the games and the skills. There was 9 games or skills to do. My favourite games and skills was rob the nest, softball and shot put, long jump and the bean bag game. For rob the nest we had to try and get ball from around the hall. In team yellow I had Matthew, Alice and Elenora. 1 person in our team had to be the tagger. The tagger had to tag other people that is not in the same team. We had to put the balls in our hoop. When we finished we had to count how many balls we had. We had 21 balls. I wasn't really good at some of the games. For softball and shot put we had to throw the ball into one of the hoops. 1 of the hoops was worth 5 point, the other hoop was worth 10 points and the far hoop was worth 20 points. All together we got 185 points. We supported each other so that we could try and win. For long jump we had to jump as far as we could. In my team I jumped the furthest. For the bean bag game we had to lie on our stomach and when a tamaki boy clapped we had to run and get a bean bag. I had a lot of fun doing skills and games. We had to do lots of games or skills. For 1 of the stations there was rest or dance. When we finished doing the skills and games we had lunch. After lunch we did sprints. Each class had to sit down and cheer for the students who was racing. The race started from youngest to oldest. When it was the year 5's turn I was so nervous. Mr. Johnston had to say take your marks, get set, clap. He didn't say clap but he clapped with something else. When I ran I wasted all my energy to run as fast as I could. When we got to the finish line we got a rod to see who came 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The rods was blue, green and red. Victoria came 1st, I came 2nd and Sandra came 3rd. It was so fun doing Athletics and trying new skills and games.

Raz Kids
This book is about a troll who makes people into furniture. Trog the troll got Alia's dad, her mum and her 2 twin brother. Alia was under a table hiding. The troll let go of Alia's family and went to break furniture. Alia, her family and friends ran outside. A security guard put Alia in front of the exit so that she could be safe. A raven was flapping against the glass door.Alia took the raven outside so that the raven wasn't stuck inside. Alia sat down and there was a mouse on her shoe. The mouse told Alia if she had any food. Alia gave the mouse a granola bar. Alia stood up and went to a garage. The dog told Alia if she had any water. Alia gave the dog some water. The dog snuck Alia to the dock behind a store. There was a chef cooking fries for Trog the troll. Trog the troll turned the chef's family into furniture. The chef had to pour fries into the troll's mouth. Trog the troll saw Alia so he lifter her up. The troll roped Alia so that he could eat her. The chef got Alia out and the raven gave the keys to Alia so that she could squeeze the troll's black heart. The troll roared at Alia with tears. When his tears touched the furniture Alia's family came back.
Free Rice
For a writing can do I decided to do free rice because I wanted to donate rice to people who are very hungry around the world. I donated 100 grains of rice. For free rice you have to answer questions to donate rice. If you get 1 correct you get 10 grains of rice and if you get 5 questions correct you get 50 grains of rice. I really like this website because you can save people's lives by donating rice to people who are hungry. This website is also good for your learning because you can answer writing questions.
Commenting
This week for Commenting I commented on Lukah's blog. The blog post I did was Visualizing. I think that Lukah did a fantastic job at creating a modeling book. I really liked the way Lukah added a DLO of his modeling book that he created. The thing that I had in common was that I created a modeling book too. I didn't do the same reading strategy, but at least I did a modeling book.

Kiwi Can
For Kiwi Can this week we had Ms.Latoya. Ms.Latoya had to put us into groups of 4. When we got into groups we recapped on what we did last week. Ms.Latoya also asked us what Respect Communication means. It means when you put yourself into another person's place. When we did that we played Smelly Socks. Smelly Socks is when there is 4 hula hoops and when Ms.Latoya had to make a beat and say numbers like 10 or 5 that much feet has to be in a hula hoop. If you got left out you had to sit near Ms.Latoya. Smelly Socks was lots of fun because you had to try and not get left out. The next thing we played was called bean bag. For bean bag we had to get back into our groups. Then 2 teams had to sit down with Ms.Latoya. The other teams had to choose if they wanted to be taggers or not taggers. The taggers had to have a bean bag and they could run with the bean bag. They had to pass it to each other to get the people out. If you got out you had to sit with Ms. Latoya. When Ms. Latoya said time we had to stop playing and the other teams came up. I tried not to get out, but I did. I did tag some people with the bean bag, but not all. Once we finished playing bean bag we did GKQ/General Knowledge Questions. We had to get into our groups and the first row of the teams had to stand up. Ms. Latoya asked us some questions. We had to say yes if we had the answer. When the first row finished answering the question the 2nd row had to stand up. It kept going on and on. When we finished doing GKQ we did our phrase and went back to class.
Kiwi Sport
This week we had Kiwi Sport in the hall with Kevin. First we played a warm up game called Infinity tag/Everybodies it. For Infinity tag everyone was in. We had to try and tag each other. If you got tagged you had to sit down. If you and another person tagged each other at the same time you had to do paper, scissors, rock. The person who lost in paper, scissors, rock had to sit down. If someone tagged the person that got you out you could stand up. I tagged a few people, but not all of them. Once we played the warm up we did Kevin showed us a example of doing the forehand serve. When he showed us we had to get into partners and we had to get a racket each and a shuttle between the both of us. I was with Victoria. Kevin took out the Badminton nets, so that we could do the forehand serve. I had to catch the shuttle and Victoria had to do the forehand serve. When we did it 5 times we had to swap. I did the forehand serve and Victoria did the catching. Once we did that we could do rellys. When we did the rellys we did doubles, ins and outs. Victoria and I didn't beat all the players, but we did beat some. When we finished playing we lined up outside and went back to class.

Probability Test & Survey
LI: To compare and contrast a probability test with a statistical survey. For maths this week we had to make a DLO about probability test & survey. First we had to pick a dice that has even number and odd numbers. The dices couldn't be even numbers only and odd numbers only. The dice that I picked was a 8 sided dice. We had to ask people in LS1 to choose a number on our dice. I couldn't get to ask all the students because some of them wasn't here. Once we did that we had to write down the results. Then we had to roll the dice for each person and write down the results again. When we finished we had to make a DLO showing the probability test and the statistical test that we did.

Modeling Book Changes
LI:To use a range of comprehensions strategies to go deeper into a text. For reading this week we had to make changes to our modeling books. The changes that I did was adding a activity and a video on the Junior book, adding a activity to the middle book and adding a activity to the senior book. I also created a person with question marks. The activities that I did was questioning wheel, Swop and Swap and writing questions before the text, in the text and after the text. I had fun making changes to my modeling book, so that the people who read it know what questioning means.

Fire Station Visit
Today LS1 and I went to visit the Fire Station. When we had to walk for 15 minutes we had to make sure we stayed in 2 lines, listen to the teacher and make sure there is way for other people. This was my first time going to the Fire Station. When we reached to the Fire Station there was 4 men who talked to us about the Fire Station and what they do. They were Bob, Paul, Norman and Steve. The 4 men said that the Fire Station was open 24 hours. Something that I learnt was that make sure you have a fire alarm, so that when the fire alarm beeps you will know that there is a fire. Then you can get out safety. If your family didn't hear it you can scream fire so that they can wake up and you can call the Fire Station. I also learnt that they don't just water fire, but they also do emergencies like medical and more. Once they talked to us we went outside to see the truck and the parts of it. There was lots of parts. There was hoses, tools and other things stored into parts of the truck. Norman showed us him dressing up into the Fire Station clothes. He told us that the clothes protect him. He also showed us a way to breather air. He wore something and he wore a mask so that he can breathe when there is a fire. Once Norman talked to us he showed us the hoses. The size of the hoses was small, big and a extreme hose. Jonathon, Fui, Sandra and Andrew got chosen from Ms. Anderson and Mr. Ogilvie to try the small hose. When they tried it Norman and Paul tried the big one. It had to take 2 people to do it. Mr. Ogilvie did it too. Then on the top of the truck Norman did the extreme hose and lots of us got wet. The extreme hose let out lots of water. It felt like it was raining. Once Norman did the extreme hose we went to the other side of the truck. We had to stand up because the ground was wet. Paul, Norman and Steve showed us more things that they use. When they finished talking we went back to where we normally sat. Norman told us if we had any questions. Lots of people put there hand up. When we asked questions Norman told us how good we have been. When Norman finished speaking we walked back to school safely.

Scenario Videos
LI:To convert the number of chances probability into percentage probability. This week for maths we had to make a scenario where you have to have a high percentage. The percentage couldn't be 100%. We had to get into groups of 2 or 3. I was working with Mele and Victoria. Victoria, Mele and I planned the Scenarios on a google doc. When we finished doing the planning we started practicing so that we could get it right. Once we finished practicing we started recording. We had to do the recordings a few times. When we did the recording we looked at our plans. When we finished doing the recordings of the Scenarios we checked it to see if it was right. I learnt to make a Scenario that has a high chance of me winning.

Trades
LI:To look at more than one information source when researching/To record facts in your own words. For Inquiry this week we had to get into a new group of 6. The groups had to have 3 boys and 3 girls. I was with Sandra, Florence, Aung Naing, Jack and Te Pounamu. Then we had to get into a partner from our group. I was working with Te Pounamu. After we had to choose what trade we were going to do. The trades was Public transport driver, Builder, Electrician, Plumber, Delivery drivers and food services. Te Pounamu and I did Electrician and Food Services. We had to make a copy of a google slide that was on the LS1 site. We had to write down the topic, the teacher's fact, your own fact, questions, 2 books, questions that we would ask, a attributed image and key words. Te Pounamu and I couldn't find any books about electricians or food services.
Pixel Art
LI:To develop artistic and fine motor skills. This week for a daily 6 I did Pixel Art. The Pixel Art that I did was a phone. I did Pixel Art because I wanted to get better at my making straight lines. I searched up simple pixel art because I can't do hard pixel arts. I did find a star, but I didn't want to do it so I used my imagination. I think that my Pixel Art looks like a arrow or a bird. I did make a little bit of straight lines, but not all. Whenever I do Pixel Art it kind of helps me make straight lines. I learnt to use my imagination to draw a pixel art.
Badminton
This week we did Badminton in the hall with Kevin. First we did a warm up game. The warm up game was Stuck in the mud. The version of Stuck in the mud was quite different. Matthew and Aung Naing was the taggers. The taggers had to try and tag us. If we got tagged we had to be like the letter t. When someone wanted to free you they had to clap between your legs and touch your arm. I got tagged a lot of times and I freed some people, but not all of them. Once we finished doing the warm up Kevin told us to get into partners and get a racket each and 1 shuttle between the both of us. Kevin told us to practice our forehand grip and our backhand grip. I was with Victoria. I decided to do my backhand grip and Victoria decided to do her forhand grip. When we finished doing this Kevin told us to serve with our backhand grip. He showed us a example of it. 1 person had to catch the shuttle while the other person was serving the shuttle with the backhand grip.Victoria served with the backhand grip first. When we did it 5 times we swapped. Victoria had to do the catching and I had to do the backhand serve. Once we finished doing the backhand serve Kevin got out the Badminton net so that we could verse other players. 2 partners had to wait till someone looses and the other 2 partners had to verse each other. When a partner got up to 2 points the other partner had to go at the back of the line. There was 3 nets for people to verse each other. We versed Raera and Te Rangimarie, Chris and Karlos and Charlize and Alice. We did loose a little bit, but we still won heaps of rounds. Once we finished versing people we had to recap on what we learnt this week. Then we went back to class.

Today after lunch the NZ Police came to visit. Constable Cyrus invited them to come. We had to sit down at the field and we had to wait for the NZ police. The NZ police was sitting on cars and helicopters. This was my first time seeing a helicopter. In the cars their was a dog named Kahu. 1 of the police's was showing skills on what Kahu can do? I learnt lots of stuff today. The things that I learnt about was that dog's have 42 teeth, police dogs are very strong, a helicopter can fly around Auckland in 5 or 3 minutes and heaps of other kind of things. The NZ police, the dog Kahu and the helicopter was a experience to me.

Tables Conga
For a maths can do, I did Tables Conga. Tables Conga is when you have to use the arrow keys on your keyboard to go down, up, left or right. You have to do this so that you can collect the times tables. At the bottom you can change the times table. They are 2 times tables, 4 times tables, 3 times tables, 5 times tables, 6 times tables, 7 times table, 8 times tables and 9 times tables. You have to make sure you don't bump into a virus or you will have to start over again. Tables Conga helps me with my times tables.
