LI: To write an explanation using TEEL Paragraphs.
This week for writing Haylee, Taheesha, Matthew and I worked together to create an explanation about why it's important to use our PBS C.A.R.E values. TEEL stands for topic sentence, example or evidence, explain and link ideas. We put together our idea’s and added some transitional words in the making. This task was to help us revise on writing explanations as next week is assessment week so we did this collaborative challenge to remind ourselves what is needed when we write explanations. Something I found interesting was how we used the TEEL paragraphs for the first time. I found this interesting as it was a different way of writing paragraphs.

ReplyDeleteI really like how you clearly explained your writing activity. Next time could describe TEEL a little bit more and explain what the transitional vocab.
ReplyDeleteCould you please make a recording so we know what you wrote about in your explanation?
Hi Ong!,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your feedback from my blog post. I will make sure to describe TEEL and explain what transitional vocab is. TEEL (topic sentence, explain, evidence, link ideas) is an acronym used to create paragraphs. Transitional vocab are words used at the start of sentences to make it technical, like on the other hand. Yes, I will make a recording, thank you for reminding me.
What structure would you use for an explanation?
The structure I would use in an explanation would be TIIC (Title, Introduction, Information, Conclusion).
ReplyDeleteThank you for explaining what TEEL means.
